One very important step if you change it is TURN THE CRANK BY HAND AT LEAST TWO TURNS. Then if somethings not right you'll know before using the starter.

You "can" pull out one bolt and measure it, probably one of the outer ones would be best. Torque it like it says in the book.

Hopefully it doesn't leak on reassembly.

MAKE SURE NOTHING (like oil) FALLS DOWN INTO THE HOLE OR THE BLOCK COULD CRACK WHEN YOU REINSTALL THE BOLT!!!!!

Surely if the bores of the 1.5, and 1.6 blocks are both 76.5mm and the strokes are 80 and 86mm respectively, then the prechamber for the 1.5 must be smaller to account for the higher compression ratio. Thus a 1.5 head on a 1,.6 block would be 24+:1... I think I've heard it's actually in the 25:1 ra...

Re: Still lost somewhat....

Only thing ... have not been able to convert it over to mm. The '12' is common to the whole set, thus it may or may not be a 12mm ... and might even be a 11mm . Sure hope someone reads this that knows how to convert that torx part number into mm's. The tool size won't tell you what the shaft size i...

My rabbit sat for 12 years old when I pulled it out of the junkyard. The IM shaft was broke off where the pulley sits, the IP was in the back and for some reason I pulled the head and it was cracked from the prechamber to the valves so I got a new one. When I went to start it the first time it smoke...

Yeah, nobody else works on my bunny, there's too many little things that would screw it all up if done wrong. And yes if they drove AND worked on their own I'd almost be able to handle it. I about flip out when I have to let the tire shop people drive it into their shop, it's weird/uncomfortable/ups...

I believe it's the inner CV bolt flange diameter, not a shaft diameter that is the difference. Yup, I don't know of any sure way to know other than to climb under and measure. AFAIK there's a few different sizes of wheel bearings/housings. There's mk1, early mk2 and then later mk2, it switched some...

That's the only way I can think of that the oil pump could cause a leak there.
Good point, a friend of mine has a G60 that had a stuck relief valve, it would blow the oil filter o-ring out.

Yeah the oil pump on these things is totally inside the pan so if it starts going (very rare) you'll only lose oil pressure.

What he said........you should HAVE to push the shifter down and over to hit reverse. Once you look at how it works it's pretty simple.

I'm pretty sure that if installed upside down the gasket will block the oil gallery to the head. You'd know soon enough :( .
