Buy injector nozzles and do the work yourself. Search for threads on this and it's a really simple job to do yourself. Are you sure your problem could be nozzles? I was wondering about that! This is my first VW and I'm not that familar with the injector setup. So the body of the injector has no ser...

OK, pics not necessary! Drained the tank down and was able to pull the screen! If the sender port had been just a little bigger I could have got my hand in there. Germans do not have particularily small hands so why make this so small. It was a little crudy but not anywhere near blocked. Cleaned it ...

I'm wondering how well this rubber holds up to biodiesel. If it doesn't stay strong the screen in the tank is useless.... and an inline filter might be of value. Fatmobile, Thanks for the pics! I'm having power lose issue too, so following this thread closely and some others I have found in a searc...

Re: FS: Misc NA Diesels- 1.5, 1.6
There are at least 3 VW diesels in a yard that I have access to, one dasher, and two rabbits. The dasher is a 1.5, the rabbits I don't recall. Does anyone need anything off of these? I'd like an air intake tube for my '81 Rabbit if one of those would fit (someone decide mine needed to be shortened)...

PU241 - interesting. Other than reduce the amount of waste oil that a company has to deal with, what benefits, if any, are there with adding the waste oil to the fuel oil? No just think they used this as a means of disposing of the crankcase oil. I have two 275 gallon tanks in my garage for home he...

There seems to be a lot of knowledge about fuel here (and I may be wrong) but what I have is what I think of as old style heating/furnace oil. It's thick and red and was only used with indoor tanks and it carries a lot more heat than any kero or pump diesel does nowadays. OK, something I can contri...

Greenrab, Where are you at that they emmissons test a diesel? About the diesel degrading the rubber hoses. Might want to wrap the hoses with aluminium foil, temporily, to keep the fuel off them till you can fix the leak. Hey, can't any more of a moron than me! Your asking the questions I would have ...

There is another cooling effect at the highest temps as the co2 dissociates and [apparently can reduce temperatures by 300deg c.] This lost energy returns as the temp reduces and actually delays chamber cooling I'm not so sure about the 300°C temp drop! I'd be interested in reading more about that...

So does anyone know who makes a good cam lock or what the dimensions should be for a properly fitting cam lock? T...

I've added a small amount of gas years ago. I don't like to do it, but according to the VW manual in my glovebox, it says you can add up to (if I remember correctly) 2 gallons of fuel to a tank. That's a 20% concentration, which I think is excessive, but then again I don't live in Siberia and need ...

Been working to get to the point of running off WVO and or Biodiesel for about 10 years. Olive oil will be fine! But as it is WVO you need to filter it very well. Like below what your fuel filter in your vehical does. Many use sock filter with success for catching crud, but you need to remove the wa...
