exhaust clips

Jake mentioned that he could install those exhaust clamps by hand. By leaning the downpipe one way, putting one on, then leaning it the other way and slipping the other on. I haven't tried this on a stock exhaust pipe yet. I did try it with my custom 2.5" exhaust on my Golf and couldn't do it b...

fuel mileage

Yeas I am using special ---supply ---NOT from main tank.
I suspect he's running on free vegetable oil, from a second/heated tank.

I do wonder how the lube stays clean though. :?:

TD exhaust manifold on ebay ...vanagon?

I saw this TD exhaust manifold on ebay and it doesn't look like the ones I have. I saw a picture around here somewhere, of a vanagon TD manifold and it looks alot like that did. Here's the auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/kkk-vw-turbo-exhaust-manifold-mk1-mk2-mk3-8v-GAS-DIESEL_W0QQcmdZViewIte...

HWH clearance

I think a 1/6" clearance around the fuel line is perfect. Make it any wider and the coolant flows slower. Often flowing too slow to move air from the line and air will gather at the high spots. If you are running the coolant through 3/8" tubing, either to wrap around the filter or heat the...

alternator bracket

yeah that was viperkeeper ...or something close to that. He sent me a picture. I was going to trim it down and try to post it but it wasn't jpg and my software didn't know how to deal with it. I'll try to post it without trimming the unneeded part. I'll take a couple pics of what I'm working on when...

non_AC alternator

Don't throw away your AC bracket. I'm working on using one to convert to 90 amp non-AC. I'm trying it using an AC alternator and a couple adjuster brackets that I found in my pile of stuff. I've been doing a little grinding to get it closer to the block and it's looking good. I still need to figure ...

alternator bracket

The steel 1.5 bracket matches with the injection pump bracket. You might be able to drill a hole in the 1.6 IP bracket so they will bolt together but I really don't know about htta. Otherwise vwpieces has a new non-AC alternator 1.5 bracket but I don't think the adjuster bar is with it. No smaller u...

I moved this over to the buy and sell fora because it seems more like you are looking to buy something than to find info about it.
Somewhere on here the part numbers are listed for the slow and fast glow glowplug relays.
Your car probably has the silver top, slow glow glow plugs right?

copper

I had a copper tubing heat exchanger in my first vegy tank. Vegy wasn't flowing through it but it was emersed in vegy for years and it didn't seem to mess it up. I do worry that it can become brittle and crack or kink when bent (and inside another hose you wouldn't know about it) but I have heard of...

air bubbles

Those instructions are for the A1 body style ...pre '84 Rabbit and Jetta, ... I've never messed with the tank on a '94 but if it's like the '91 Golf, the fuel level sendor is in the rear, under the carpet. You don't have to pull the tank to get to it. On the pickup you will though I don't think ther...

Yeah, this is an ify one.
Definately not a glowing endorsement but it looks like the place does compete directly with Jack on many items so you should probably remove the name of the business.
