If I could find triple square heads for CVs that were as deep as the ones on the head bolt I'd be all over it, but for axles it's the highest grade allen heads all the way.

It seems that for dirty applications like CVs allen heads are better. For curiosities sake, what's the difference between these studs and high grade (12.9?) threaded stuff one can get from a fastener shop?

My 92 Jetta manual says gasoline can be added to the diesel up to 30%. There are no related comments on temperature. With Diesel 70 cents above gas, this would be a worthwhile $ improvement. Hagar, do you know if the system used to regulate control collar travel is linear? For example, if I wanted to use a throttle position sensor, could I equate the position of the IP cable with the amount of fuel injected linearly, or do I need some sort of transform because the springs in the IP aren...

Thanks! I happen to have three 11mm blocks (two 1.6s and a 1.5) for parts but no head bolts to check.

Does anyone have any measurements on stud length and possibly the threads per inch on an 11mm block?

Do they have head studs for both the 11mm and 12mm or is it a one size fits all deal? They seem a bit pricey at ~$150, but at the same time, it'll probably be a wash wrt rebuilds, especially if I screw something up.
