Re: should i use copper coat on my head gasket?
that's what I'll do, I hope I didn't get any gunk in the oil feed hole to the head, I'm etting sort of paranoid now and thinking of what could go wrong. i'm going to shop vac all the ports out then crank the engine over several times to see if I can get some fresh oil to come out, in case I got some...

Re: should i use copper coat on my head gasket?
Ok, think I'll pass on the sealer, guess if it doesn't hold I can put some on the next go around (hopefully that won't happen).

anti-seize on glow plus and injectors on my new head?
I couldn't get the glow plugs out of the old head (bought dura-terms anyway) so it got me thinking maybe I should put anti-seize on the threads before I install them on my new head, if so what type do yall use?

which hole is it, I assume it is the small oil hole in the block and the other holes are oil return holes? I cant find a diagram of all the coolant/ oil holes.

should i use copper coat on my head gasket?
I'm putting a new head gasket on my 1980 dasher wagon, should I use copper coat on the gasket or leave it dry? There is some minor pitting in different places on the block. I did upgrade to arp 11mm studs.

what size/type of socket do I use for my 11mm ARP studs?
I was looking at the nuts for my 11mm ARP stud kit and they look like they require a special socket, what type is it and where can I get it?

Re: installing 11mm head studs, what size tap do I need to c
there is not much damage since the engine never started with the pin in but there was piston to valve contact, hence the rebuilt head, this is my daily driver so I figured I use the head studs to prevent any future problems with the block cracking. I bought a 11m x 1.5 die so I'm going to slot one b...

Re: installing 11mm head studs, what size tap do I need to c
Guess I'll be doing the head bolt mod to chase the holes since the cheapest 11xroute 1.5 chaser was $50. And im afraid to use a tap.

Re: installing 11mm head studs, what size tap do I need to c
yeah, I did that when I did the timing belt but when I did my check to make sure nothing moved after running it several days later I got side tracked with my wife and forgot it, now I put a red flag up in addition to disconnecting the battery terminals, that way I know. It was definetly due to my ow...

I need to chase the head bolts out, what size tap do I need to chase the holes? Any advice on installing the head studs? this will be going on my 1980 dasher, is there any reason I can't install the studs in the block first and then set the assembled head/manifold onto the head/gasket and then tork ...
