I'm interested in running WVO. Since I'm not the greatest at building from scratch but can follow directions, what are the ups and downs of using greasecar's kit or frybrid's kit?
Thanks

it costs about double what it would cost you to make one, other than that i have heard good things about the kits ($700-1000) and you can build one for 300 or less

fill port

Post by Fatmobile »

No fill port on their tanks.
...so you have to stand over the tank with a fuel can and pour fuel into a hole. Try not to overflow it and try not to spill vegy into the back of your car.
I plug my filter setup into the fill port. Turn on the pump and let it fill. When it's full, vegetable oil will come out the vent line into a container.
I don't know if either of their kits contain a vacuum gauge.
I talked to the greasecar guys, at the energy fair, about this and they might include one in their kit now.
I can also fill the tank while going down the road. Hit the switch and the tank fills up.
