1.9 caddy question

Hi guys , looking to start to run on veggie oil but do not yet want to go for the second tank route.
Will my 97 1.9 d caddy need any mods to run okay with upto 50/50 mix with diesel straight in the tank?
Also when looking to buy oil what type do i buy?

Vegetable oil congeals when its cold. The reason vegg'd cars have two tanks is so they can keep the congealed fuel out of their system until its warmed up and hot.
