veggie oil + gasoline?

a friend into diesel USA military vehicles..and he's a smart friend as opposed to a non smart friend..told me that there are peeps out west usa mixing 20% hi test gasoline with straight vegi oil in winter...nothing else...right into the tank...runs great...summer time the use 10% hi test gas...anyone heard of this?

Agreed, to make searching a little easier, use the term RUG (regular unleaded gas)
