frybrid switches

Post by caveman »

I got some good used frybrid 3 port switches, but the guy who gave them to me didn't take them off and so doesn't know which ports are in/out/vege. If anybody has installed any of these could you let me know which is which.
thanks

fuel select solenoids

Post by Fatmobile »

Blow through the ports with no power to the solenoid. The ones that flow are the diesel ports.

you are saying that you can blow through all three ports whether or not there is any power to them? if so then I do not think they are any good, or it may be a result in user error. I could understand one not working, but both is strange. Do you hear anything when you apply 12 volts? (a click or snap). plumbing them up will not make a difference.

i blew into port 1 and flow was through port 3. i applied 12 volts and heard and
felt the valve operate, but there was no change in where the flow was-still
#1 to #3.
called the friend i got them from and we know they were good 2 weeks before. so i installed them under the assurance they would work. spent a few hours trying to get them under the front of the r/f fender, then just jammed them above the rads. THEY DIDN'T WORK. took them apart and both mechanical valves are stuck. i will soak them in diesel or something else to see if they free up. installed 6 port pollak valve instead. works perfect.
