Great place for various parts

Post by Fatmobile »

I bought a clutch setup from this guy. He has been on the vortex for awhile and has a good reputation for having rare, interesting parts.
They just started harassing him and he can't sell over there anymore.
A bunch of good stuff, check it out:

Glad to hear you are getting ahold of him.
One of the best sellers you'll find ... and some great stuff.
I'm sure the list will change often so check it occasionally.

I bought a set of front brake calipers, from "vw pieces", a while back.
When I received the package, I noticed that the shipping charge had
had come to $5.00 MORE than the amount he'd thought it would cost.

I contacted him and pointed out that he'd lost money on the transaction,
but he just said he'd take the $5.00 loss.

However, I sent him down the $5.00 anyway. A deal is a deal.

"Vw pieces" is a real honest, decent guy to deal with and it was a pleasure doing business with him.

It's all good. There is alot of time involved moving parts. With little in return. I like to help people out, finding parts for the old cars. Keeping them running & on the road. People do not realize locating parts is just as important as they guy that helps with repair advice. I say "if I do not have it, I usually know where to get it." I have always driven 20+ year old VW's daily. Having parts & knowing where to get parts is essential. Here in Pennsylvania I can not go to the local auto parts store to get a part for the 68 bus or the diesel jetta for that matter. I attend about 10 VW shows a year & spend the day in the swap meet. I have also learned to follow up on leads of shop closings etc. We do have a few good junkyards here too. I like to hit them at least once a month. PA is the home of the bunny so there usually a bunch around. I am not a business at all. My Garge is for my own personal use. The parts I have were bought, pulled & ordered for my own personal intent. If some needs something, I will help if I can. Today I helpd a guy find NOS tail lights for a 75 rabbit & some GTD badges. I did not sell these parts. All I got was a Thank You. Actually he said "you the man." That alone was worth my time.

On that note this is Jack's site. If you need anything ask him first. I do not want to be in the same situation again.

A question for vwpieces

Post by jettaman8691 »

Do you have a list of what you have so I don't have to go through all of the pictures?

The stuff he has is always changing. There's no way he could keep an up-to-date list.
The pictures are just a sample of what he has.
Any list would just be a sample as well.
...so enjoy the picture show.
