'99 EuroVan Diesel...need advice (posted on general forum)

Forum Experts,
Tomorrow I am driving to look at a '99 Eurovan diesel (5cyl) that a friend of a friend is selling. I drive an '83 Rabbit diesel so I know very little about the Eurovan...but I am interested because it's a VW and it's Diesel! Please throw forth your opinions and knowledge about this seemingly hard to find set of wheels and let me know if I am wasting my time, etc.
