Speed versus RPM

Post by GoWestyYoungMan »

Would anyone have accurate information on the RPM's I am running at various speeds. I just did a motor job and I don't wish to overrun the engine. I have a standard 4 sp. 091 tranny that came in the '82 diesel and the tires are the standard Michelin 195-75-14 6 ply .
Thanks for the input and if you know that your Tach was calibrated please tell me how you did it.
Regards, David

Here's a trans ratio calculator that will tell you rpm's for any vanagon tranny and any wheel size as long as you punch in the numbers correctly.
