For Sale: Good running 1982 1.6 Diesel engine with FN 5 speed transmission out of a Jetta.
I personally drove this car before pulling the engine. It runs great. No smoke or scary noises.
It needs a clutch,as it slips badly.
Engine has A/C pump and all brackets. Engine and trans are complete EXCEPT for the Alternator,which was brand new, and I'm keeping it as a spare. Starter included.
Engine/trans always lived in this same car since new,and have 230,000 miles. Headgasket was done a few years ago,as were intake/exhaust gaskets, at the same time.
I was keeping this engine as a spare,but have since purchased a running VW Diesel Golf, for parts,so I'll keep the whole Golf and sell this.
I will separate the engine and trans if you want only one or the other.
Looking for $300 for the engine,$100 for the trans or $400 for both.
