I met a guy today who has two (non-running) 1981 rabbit pickups that he needs to get rid of by Monday (20 Mar). I can't take them, but I told him I'd knew some people who might be interested.
The first one has a straight body, interior is pretty wrecked, cap on the back. Engine is pretty wrecked -- someone took of the valve cover and all the belts and left the hood up for a few months -- lots of rust.
Second one was in an accident (it rear-ended another car). Engine on this one was in pretty good shape -- filler cap was left off and I saw a little rust on the cam lobes. Interior looked okay. Little bit of surface rust.
This guy is leaving on Monday and he's got to get rid of the trucks before then -- to a wrecking yard if necessary. He's got titles for both of the trucks, in his name. He'd probably be happy to get scrap value for them.
