Glow plug relay question

Post by diesel dunk »

If you are familiar with the glow plug relay then please try and help - I have discovered that my relay doesn't have a T terminal that should be attached to the temp sensor and cut the time if the engine is already hot, so I have ordered a new relay and will sort this out - my question is whether or not this will have any affect on the L (Light) terminal that shows a light in the dash all the time the plugs are glowing, because I have a light and the bulb and circuit are good up to the relay, but it has never come on - I wandered if either this part of the old relay was bust or maybe it relied on the T (Time) terminal as well to send volts to the L terminal. Any clues.??

Have you tested for power and ground at each terminal that feeds the glowplug? If all is fine I'd assume you have a bum relay. The new t- terminal relay shoudln't interfere with the system in anyway.
