About the speedo cable

Hi, my vanagon diesel dont have the speedo cable or I cant found it if I take the cluster out. From where to where are connected this cable, someone toll me from the wheel, but what wheel and it is notice from the outside of the van. Thanks

It runs from the center of the driver's side wheel to the center of the speedometer. The end of it should be visible in the center of the front bearing cap. The end should be square and protrude through the cap, retained by a circlip. It then goes through the back of the wheel and up to the instrument cluster where it clips onto the speedo.
