Timing of the diesel pump??????????

Hi, I change my timing belt and try to put the diesel pump in timing too, but the westy start rought and getting to much smoke and sound like is to much diesel, I saw three marks in the pump pulley, one is a line in angle. another one is little point that have a mark in the back too and the last one in a straight line that have a line in the back too. The bracket of the pump have two little point on the top and a big line facing to the cam close to the middle of the bracket. If I aline this two marks with the marks of the pulley the westy start but dont take iddle. I don't no if I need to wait a couple of minutes until the motor left all the excesive diesel in the inside or I just continue with a bad timing. Thanks for the time. Mario
