Clutch Cylinders

Post by VanVan »

Hi -

loaded and leaving for the coast last night and got two blocks and couldn't shift. So...

There's half a reservoir of fluid, but the master cylinder leaks visibly. I'm assuming it's bad, and am assuming when master goes, the slave goes next, and will order both.

Master and slave connect with lots of parts - does anyone sell a "shift linkage rebuild kit?" I'd like to order all at once and just be darn well done with this system rebuild....

Also, any outside chance it's not the cylinder? There's no resistance at all....I can't tell where it's leaking, but it appears to start at the top and coat the whole casing. It's not visibly coming from a fitting.

Plus, the van's got over 200k, and aside from components inside the bellhousing, I haven't rebuilt anything on the clutch/linkage system.

Thanks!

Never mind on linkage kits - BusDepot has them.
