1990 Jetta (Wolfsburg) N/A diesel
1. Are the sensors on the upper coolant outlet hose fitting the same? I didn't get them labled and the paper I wrote them on got lost. This is the outlet on the front of the engine, one sensor points up, the other to the driver's side. One plug has red/yellow and brown wires. Other has Orange and green/white wires. Which goes where.
2. Has anyone found a reasonably priced alternate tubing for the fuel return jumper hoses on the injectors. Dealer wants over $20 for three feet but has to order it in. Is vinyl hose eaten up by diesel, as opposed to rubber? I'm wondering if windhield washer hose might work.
I coldn't see any hose like this on Jack's site....(?)
Thanks.

hose
On eBay there's a guy that offers that hose. I bought 3 feet from him. Looks like the original stuff and works good. Someone mentioned clear hose for this application and that might be better but the eBay stuff was a good price. Ed

One sensor is for the temp. gauge, one for the glow plug relay:

Some of the GP relay senders are resistance type (usually the A1s) and some are on/off switches (usually the A2 and A3s). An ohm meter would tell you if they are different.
