92 Jetta ecodiesel. I got this car as part of deal when selling another one. Was told it needed a headgasket. I pulled the head and found out that it actually was missing a freeze plug. Replaced that along with headgasket, bolts and some various other things. Cleaned it up some and started driving it around town. Drove surprisingly well, but: Lost the timing belt tensioner at a slow speed. Broken camshaft and #1 bearing cap. Pistons seem fine. Head needs work. One follower is stuck, not sure about valves. I was told the head could most likely be salvaged.
Body is in good shape. Missing some trim, a few dings. No rust. Missing rear door handles and drivers front handle needs replaced. No radio. Decent mis-matched front tires, rears not so good.
$800 as is or $300 without the engine.
