Parts for Sale

Post by cornjuggler »

I have a VW mechanic friend who is closing his shop after about 40 years. He has boxes of assorted parts that he'd like to sell, all kinds of things: brake parts, engine parts, computers, even a transmission or two. Since he doens't use the internet, I offered to post a note on the net and see what happens. He has way too much stuff to list everything, so if you have a specific hard to find part that you need, just me know and I'll ask him if he's got it.

Thanks,
Bill

I would be interested in any VW specific tools he may want to part with.

Thanks!

1.6 mechanical head

Post by 1.6D-Nut »

I need a GOOD 1.6 mechanical head. The one i have has several cracks between the valves.
I know some will say that cracks between the valves don't hurt anything, but...the crack in #3 cyl on this head DOES pressurize the cooling system, and there is LOTS of whiteish residue present in that cyl, from coolant being sucked in. Rant off! :?
Anyhow..from your friend, or any other users here...I need a good head.

Since this thread isn't getting a response from the original poster; I'd suggest checking with kurt333 over on the vortex for the strut housings.
... and caddywompus has been getting ahold of me about heads he has.
He has a shop cleaning post down a little ways.
