Cruise control transfer from 92 jetta gas to 92 jetta diesel
Is it feasible to remove cruise control from a gas to a diesel jetta? My 92 german 1.6 ecodiesel lacks cuise control and I found a 92 gas jetta with all the cruise control parts intact ($60 at local junkyard). Is it workable to transfer the cruise control to the diesel? .....steve in chicago
I think it would all transfer fine except that you would need to rig up a support for the vacuum actuator on the injection pump. No other real issues I can think of. Be sure to get the pedal sensor, the turn signal switches and the speedo sensor, but they should all bolt up.
