Pressure plate bolts...
Guys, I'm having trouble taking off the pressure plate bolts, the 10mm wrench is lose and the 9mm don't fit, this is a regular 10mm 11 point bolt right???

Not sure what year/application you're working on, but the flywheel bolts on my 82 are 10mm 6 sided bolts. Does the bolt head have something like 8.8 on it (maybe someone screwed in an SAE bolt instead of metric). If you're working with a 12 point socket, it may be a wise choice to get a set of 6 point sockets just in case.
Everybody else lists their cars here - but not me.

I changed my clutch a while back and I remember it was a 12 point socket head. So called aircraft bolt. I'm a little fuzzy on the size though. Maybe a 10mm. I had a friend help me with the job and remember him asking me if I had the 12 point socket.

It's a 12-point for sure... either 9 or 10... and I'm thinking 9.

Given how little you torque them to when they are being reinstalled I personally don't get why they are 12 point... only a VW engineer knows for sure.

I'm not sure you can use a wrench.
It's been awhile but it seems like there isn't much room around the bolt head. Not enough for a wrench.
A socket usually has thin walls.
