Here's my problem -- When I rev-up the engine in any gear, and then push in the clutch to shift, the engine continues to rev at the high rate when it's in neutral. Sometimes I can give a quick tap on the accelerator while in neutral, and then that will bring it down to the normal idle, or I can slow the truck down to about 25mph, put it in 4th, and then slowly let out the clutch, and when the 4th gear barely engages at the low speed, it brings the idle down to normal.
If you can blip the throttle and most of the time it slows down, it's a sticking cable. Lube the rotating piece on your injector pump with oil, silicone spray or something like that. That's where mine has stuck in the past. That's an easy one to fix.
Everybody else lists their cars here - but not me.
Yep, spray some lube at the springs on top of the pump, move the lever to set it in.

Same thing happened to me last winter. The throttle would get stuck because of the grease the PO had put in the throttle cable... I guess it got too cold and the grease started to stick. That might be an idea if the throttle lever is moving freely.
