Accelerator cable connection

Post by jason »

Is there a trick to getting the accelerator cable connected to the pedal? There is a white bushing on the pedal arm and a mushroomed end on the accelerator cable that will not go in. It seems simple enough but I cannot get it in.

Thanks,
Jason

I have some assembly tips on the web page below:

The bushing fits in the eye on the end of the pedal and the hook on the cable fits inside the bushing:

That how to sums it up nicely. Don't get frustrated. It's not easy and it does take a while to do if it is your first time.

OK, I got it; I just needed to not look at it for a while. I positioned the mushroomed end in the hole 90 degrees off from straight in and pressed it in the hole with some pliers.

Thanks
