Turbo Inj. Pump Reseal Kit Pt#?

Post by duffer »

Is the re-seal kit for the Turbo
injection pump the same Part No.
as the n/a pump kit (DGK 126) or
is there a different kit?

Thank you to those who know.

It's just ever so slightly different. It contains an o-ring for the boost pin feeler pin and a couple more metal washers. DGK 121. You'll still need to get the smaller 17mm main shaft seal separate. It comes with the 20mm seal. Changing that o-ring is somewhat in depth. There is a lever inside the aneroid. That lever pivots on a shaft. The shaft is pushed into the aneroid and held in place by either two screws blocking the holes or two ball bearings. If the bearings are used, you need to press on one bearing and push the ball in farther along with the shaft until the bearing on the other side pops out. Then the shaft and bearing get pushed out the other way. Then, the allen head plug that is aligned with the feeler pin needs to be removed to pull out the feeler pin. With the feeler pin removed, there is an allen plug holding in the o-ring. Unscrew the plug, replace the o-ring and re-assemble. Some folks tap the ball bearings back into place without issue. I tap the holes to 1/16npt (no drilling necessary, it's a perfect fit) and install 1/16npt steel allen head plugs for the ease of future disassembly.
