Has anyone ever used RESTORE to help with low compression in their diesel.
Thanks

Another miracle treatment in some of these oils is teflon. The hope is that it will fill the gaps in between the cylinder to rings. But it can also seize the rings and go into other unwanted places. Kind of like using the rad stop product. The next thing you know your engine could over heat or burn even more oil. A lot of the time it will do nothing. I think thickeners can help(STP etc.) slow oil consumption but then you might have trouble starting in the winter.

Yes, I have had good luck with it. I started having at least what I guessed were the symptoms of low compression awhile back at about 350,000 on my '91 Jetta Diesel -- hard starting and rough running, missing out after starting. I used it and it cleared the problem right up. So I use it every-once-in-a-while. I'm at 414,000 now - so, who knows.....

I have used Rislone Ring Seal with incredible results. Im not sure if it boosted compression but does it ever work to stop oil consumption!! Was seriously condidering a rebiuld or at least a re ring on one of my vw diesels due to excessive oil consumption, but I tried a bottle of ring seal first and it went from a constant cloud of blue smoke to almost none!!! Im still driving that car.
