Post by wild3bill »

OWNERs Manual mentions draining Water SEPARATOR at service times. Haynes manual does not mention it. Where is it what does it look like?

I don't think the TDIs have a water seperator under the car, like the A2s,..
so I suspect they mean the drain on the bottom of the fuel filter.

Indeed. You'll need to loosen the filter, lift it up, pull the jesus clip on the filter junction, and pull the junction (to let air in as the fuel/water pours out).

You should drain about 4-8 ounces.
