New seats for the VW

Post by jethrobodean »

Its swap meet season and I stumbled on to some leather seats that looked to fit the rabbit that my boy just inherited recently. For $40 bucks I think I bought some 84-89 Audi seats. The drivers side is power. They needed some 2" trimmed from the mounts to work but fit nicely. The boy (15 turning 16 soon) is very proud.

We haven't installed the passenger door panel yet. We just installed stationary vents to get rid of the leaky ones and waiting on new clips to arrive

If you search the vortex (MkII Forum) there are a couple of how to threads for swapping the VW bases onto the Audi seats. Safer / Sturdier than cutting and welding frames.

It was a while ago, they may be archived threads by now.
