Did it break loose of the glass or the metal?
'91 Golf gasser converted to a 12mm pump, M-TDI.
'84 1.6TD Rabbit with a VNT-15 turbo, still setup to run on vegetable oil.
'84 GTI with 1.7TD pistons and intercooled.
2003 TDI wagon
2000 TDI Jetta.

it seems to be diffrent every time with every adhesive. with the last stuff i used the glue itself sheared. there was glue on the pivot and the glass. I used less than 1cc of glue so i know it was not an overglue issue. I also put a piece of snad paper on the glass grit side up to match sand the bottom pivot to the curve of the window to ensure it was as close as possible. The chemist said less gap stronger bond. So it is on them now.
'81 caddy NA 1.6L all original w/317,000 miles. SOLD. now i drive a 35th anniversary camaro... OHH thats what horse power feels like.. LOL
