I have a thread over on the 'Vortex but I'm getting conflicting answers and I trust you guys more. Is it normal for the passenger side (of a US vehicle) of an engine of a Mk2 to sit way higher than the transmission side? I'm getting a serious slant/tilt in my newly rebuilt and reinstalled TD and I'm trying to decide if I should do anything about it.
I did replace the stock solid rubber motor mount with a hydraulic.... I measured beforehand and it seemed like they were about the same height, so while I could put the rubber mount back on I don't think it will remove the slant.
Thoughts?
Here's the slant:
How much clearance should there be at the trans side?
