:(

I guess we all knew this day wasn't far off, but I'd hoped it would be a lot further in the future. I had always wanted to get up there but never found the time. Amazing how someone who you've only seen a photo of can have such an impact just through his writing and his spirit. I'm glad his SAGA is here, I hope it gets made in to a sticky for mandatory reading for new forum members...

the next pint I hoist will be to his memory

I found his posts to be interesting, and his take on life enjoyable.

we are poorer as a VW diesel community for having lost him.

It certainly is a sad day. :( The 1.6TD has lost one of it's enthusiastic boosters. I helped him source some APR stud this spring that's what friends do. He will live on for me in all of this wonderful post.

R.I.P. Hagar, I've never been able to find the time to read all the way through your thread. But the little of it I did read really intrigued me. I know you will be missed around here, my condolences to your family and friends, our prayers are with you.

Always kind, always helpful, Hagar had the qualities we all wish to share with our world. Thanks Svend for all the knowledge and for your gentle way of sharing it. This board, and the world is better because of you.

D'oh!

We've all lost a gem of a human being. I'm so sorry to have not made it up to BC to hang out with him.
