I have an 82 Westy running a 1.9AAZ TD
The transmission is a DK
Just purchased 4, 215 x 16" rims from Go-westy
I am looking to install some high load rated tires and am thinking to go with 215/185/16s
This will bring the RPMs to 3000 at 65 MPH
Does anyone know if these taller tires will fit without rubbing?
Thanks
large diameter tires?

large diameter tires?
When I buy a drill, I don't want a drill - I want a hole

Re: large diameter tires?
I'm going to move this over to the vanagon fora.
'91 Golf gasser converted to a 12mm pump, M-TDI.
'84 1.6TD Rabbit with a VNT-15 turbo, still setup to run on vegetable oil.
'84 GTI with 1.7TD pistons and intercooled.

2000 TDI Jetta.

Are you sure of the tire size? I have the 16" Go Westy rims on my Vanagon. I went with a Yokohama 215/65/16 tire. I believe GoWesty likes the 215/60/16 profile better. With the GW rims, I don't know that you can fit much more tire on the van than what I did. Over stock tire size it was good for about 200 -300 rpm.
