Alternator belt
Belt broke again after only 500 miles so I dismantled the modification and changed out my alternator with one with a different pully. Used the original bolts to mount and a stock smaller belt. Belt is extemly tight and hoping I do not cause any damage running a tight belt. So far so good but only driving around town for now.

Re: Alternator belt
If you have a belt with the incorrect angled "V", it will fail in short time. The belt shouldn't be crazy tight. Do you have A/C, or none?

Alternator Belt
Just stock AC but the pulley on the newer alternator is larger and the stock alternator belt is thinner with much more of a dramatic V to it. Hope this will solve my breakage.
