My timing belt has made that same scraping noise for a very long time, probably over 60k miles.
Everybody else lists their cars here - but not me.

I have too many to count

yes mine has been doing it awhile to actually i thought it was something bigger so i thought to ask the forum. I thought maybe it was a bit tight still does it. maybe some belt dressing would get rid of it? never used the stuff though so i dont even know what to do with it. does seem to disapate somewhat when it warms up.

My timing belt has been doing that for 20k kms or more. Doesn't seem to be causing wear or anything..

It's from the belt rubbing on the tensioner I think. Some said it could the the injection pump mounting bolts being out. Mine also goes away when hot.

is your thin plate that holds the upper timing cover bent and scraping on the cam pulley?

that is all your sound reminds me of, i accidentally knocked mine out of position during a timing belt job once. noticed that noise in first startup and turned it off :)

i have heard some rubbing noise from the timing belt on the plastic covers before to and it didn't sound like your video to me.
