Instrument Cluster 28 Pin Connector Data, MK2

Post by Thomas M »

Mine is a 1991 MK2 Jetta 1.6 diesel, non-turbo.

Here is a helpful table showing the pins that are used (in my model) and what they are for. It was helpful in diagnosing my dead electrical panel systems. In my case, it turned out to be a loose fuse mount (discovered just by chance) and a voltage stabilizer that was not putting out the required minimum voltage (9 volts). Good for checking voltages, ground, etc. Existing pins are marked with a dashed line. The others did not have pins. Somehow I found this on a Russian language website????
