Clear Polyurethane Fuel Line Reviews

Post by wewantutopia »

Hello,

Just thought I'd seed what the forum's thoughts were on clear polyurethane fuel lines with WVO. Fatmobile, I think I remember you saying that you use them. How have they held up? Most specifically, to the heat. I've tried clear vinyl (and am currently using some), and braided vinyl. The clear will eventually get "brittle" (for lack of a better descriptor) and break. The braided eventually yellow to the point of no longer being clear and are very hard to work with anyway.

I usually have them for about 3-4" before the IP intake and then for 3-4" directly of the return nipple to a vegetherm.

Interested in your thoughts.

Thanks!

I've only used them on the diesel lines.
For veg lines I use PEX,.. I think I have one stretch of clear plastic line with a few fibers crossing at the front of the pump and have had no problems with it. Not sure what it's made of, I think of it as soda fountain line.

I have been running WVO through clear polyurethane lines for about 7 years with no problems. It is a 2 tank system with the WVO being heated by the coolant.

In fact, part of the WVO heating system has the poly line co-axially inside the coolant line.
