coolant pipe

Post by jseilicki »

Ok in my golf the coolant pipe has begun to rot out, either I need a oem type replacement or I need advice on how to jerryrig it. Does anyone know where I can find an oem one, (there is only one in north America and I would have to modify it acording to the dealership)

I'd check with the owner of this site, or Recycled Jack in your neighborhood (he has the adverts on Craigslist).
Have a nice day.

I think the modification is blocking off the extra outlet. I would be tempted to pinch it shut with pliers and solder or braze the seam.

I'd call the owner of this site or Jack in Auburn Hills.

Blocking the pipe would work, or you could add an oil cooler and the other required hoses.
Have a nice day.

Something I'd try the classifieds for or check the vortex for one.
Like mentioned the one dealership has might just have an extra port for the oil cooler.
