Yes, I could tell the difference immediately. My only problem is that I fixed up my rear engine mount with window weld. It worked wonders for my trans mount but the rear engine mount makes my entire car rattle.

My 86TD sounds like it has zero insulation. I always run around with the back seat out which doesn't help. The wife always asks are we going to take the tin can.

I think the MK2s aren't respected like they should be.
They might become even more rare than the Rabbits soon.
I like them better than the Rabbit.

that turned out very well. Mine was not so nice and I had rust into rockers and some other ugly areas. But no complaints, it is solid and I can drive it but I do avoid wet weather and avoid any time there are snow melting chemicals on the road. That has made for not much driving this winter since we have gotten repeated small snowstorms and ice storms with massive amounts of corrosives applied to the roads. Hopefully spring will be better.
