standard size, though I would have considered oversize if I thought of it. The gaps are about 3/4 mil in the cylinders. I ended up sanding down the ridges a little with a dremel and got the piston in. Before, the rings would get just into the cylinder then seemed to catch a little bit into the ridge area. I'm still not sure why. Cleaning the ring grooves more thoroughly didn't account for the problem either, like I thought they would.
