Turbo Question

Would anyone happen to know where I can find gaskets for turbo-to-intake-manifold and turbo-to-oil-line for a 1985 1.6TD T3 Turbo? Or perhaps a DIY solution that works well. See pic circled in red.

In a pinch I have made several gaskets myself using sheet gasket material. I secure a piece of material to the flange (tape?) and use a ball-peen hammer to tap gently around the holes to mark where the holes need to be cut out. It may take a couple tries and be careful not to tap too hard to damage the flange itself, but this works pretty well once you get the hang of it.

Gasket in a tube (Permatex, etc.) can work for those. Intake is ~15psi max and the oil drain is at roughly atmospheric pressure.

I bought a sheet of silicone 1/16" and use it for the turbo to intake flange on my VNT.
Other gasket material gets brittle and leaks at that connection.

Could not remember specifically what I use so went and found the roll in the garage. Fel Pro 'karropak" is what I have used for 30+ years for things like carburetor gaskets and various other applications - I think it's 1/32 think or possibly slightly thicker. It is available in a variety of thicknesses if I remember correctly. If in contact with oil (for example differential gaskets) I'll usually skim it with good old permatex #2 using a putty knife to make it thin and smooth and if possible let that cure overnight. Have not experienced any brittleness but have not used it in a turbo application.

I've also made head gaskets for small engines (mopeds, weedwackers, etc) from copper or brass shim stock but that's a little trickier to cut. If you can buy the right stuff in a timely manner it's the best way to go but I occasionally work on 30-40 year old stuff (or older) and don't have that option.
