No AC - It's a switch under the dash?

This forum is for TDI (Turbo Direct Injection) questions/posts. Non-TDI Motors (Including the 1.6, and 1.9 or other variant turbo diesel motors) should go in the VW Diesel General Forum

No AC - It's a switch under the dash?

Post by Singitloud »

I was told by my mechanic that the reason we have no AC is because of a switch in the dash that has broken. Compressor works great, but the vents ONLY blow hot air.

My son and I want to try and fix this on our own, but I have forgotten the name of the part.

Any help on this?

It's probably the switch on top of the heater controls.
You can see it by removing the radio.

Ooops, I was thinking old Rabbit.
Probably not the switch on the top of the AC controls.
I'll move this post to the TDI section.
