Add-A-Link Thread

Post by admin »

To submit a web site or page to be considered for addition the the "WWW Links" forum pages, simply reply to this thread with the complete and correct URL. A brief description of the site would be helpful, and would perhaps take a bit of load off of our new moderators.

Remember that the vwdieselparts.com forum doesn't display links to sites that sell tools, parts, or services which compete with those offered through Jack's main site VW Diesel Parts. Such links will not be considered for inclusion.

Links to sites that include technical information, photos galleries of VW vehicles, VW-related forums and bulletin boards, or other interesting or useful VW and VW diesel-related sites are welcome.

The personal web pages of users here at the forum are also welcome, as long as they contain some content that is VW specific, and will be posted in the "Members Pages" forum.

After submitting a link by replying in this thread, one of us will follow the link address to make sure it's valid, and to ascertain whether it's content is appropriate for the links thread. At that time, the reply post will be removed from this thread to keep things tidy.

Guests: Please be sure to include an e-mail address in the reply, or contact one of the moderators so that we can contact you in case we have questions about the link you submit (like if it doesn't work or something).

As an added touch, we'll include a nice "submitted by" with your username on any links you submit that we include.

Let's make this page a "Destination" by filling it up with the best possible information!

www.VWvortex.com

Great site for anything VW, forums galore on every VW interest, from each engine to each model of car ever built. From bodywork to detailing.

Enjoy.

Nothing compares to this forum for keeping the old diesels running though for DIY's like us.

RMeuropean.com

Post by sgnimj96 »

Rmeuropean.com has kinda of an odd website. They have A LOT of hard to find
parts at great prices, but it's often hard to find them on their website.
I often end up going to autohausaz, hansauto, fcpeuro, rock, or other places just for the german part number and
THEN use that search with. RMeuropean actually has a great selection at better prices than some
other places, but I think most people would never know it.

Another trick for that website is to search google, and specifically don't use the website
for searching... wtf? Rmueuropean will try to NOT let you see any parts without selecting a vehicle,
and selecting a vehicle then limits what you see. Maybe they just don't care to update
their website with thier massive inventory network, idk.
websearch " rmeuropean.com + 'the part number' "
and I can find direct links to rmeuropean parts of older mk1,2,3 stuff
or tricky things like mk4 tty bolts (at way better prices)
and then you can add them to the cart.

Also they have copper and aluminum metric washers that can seen at https://www.rmeuropean.com/shop-supplies.aspx
but they way I found it was by web searching "rmeuropean.com washer" and then going to "shop supplies" on the
website to see ALL of the washers. They have just about any size you need for just a few cents.
There can be more to find, they have a lot of weird euro fluids like the LV brake fluid for late models
and a lot of super expensive gear oils and stuff. It's just cool being able to shop around.

So if you know what you really need, it may be possible to put together a more complete cart and even
get free shipping on a big order if they have a deal running. I know this may be more than many people are
interested in doing but it's getting tougher to find parts and more expensive to fix these cars.
A lot of the "vintage" parts are drying up and some vendors act like items are worth WAY more than they are.
