Kind of unrelated but this post reminded me of a thought that occured to me after pulling the head. Does the 23:1 compression ratio take into account the volume of the swirl chamber?

so i got the old one out and the new one in without the use of any modified coat hangers or anything else. just got a butt cramp from being hunkered over in the engine compartment not being able to move for half an hour for fear of loosing a nut or washer. i did use an extendable magnet to aid with both removing and installing the washer and nut. i didn't remove the fuel lines either and it was the glow plug behind the cold start cable. my hands still hurt and that was like 5 hours ago. thanks for all the help. you all are great. james.

I'd just like to reiterate Fatmobile's suggestion of the ratchet wrenches. I don't know how I've gone without these for so long. They really make things easy. Put them on your Christmas lists. Hillbilly tuning has never been easier. :D
