That seemed to do the trick! No trouble on the commute home.

One question: do front wheels typically grow mildly hot under normal highway conditions? When I started this whole thing I found that the wheels were getting absurdly hot (too hot to touch). I knew this was abnormal, but now that the brake problem seems to have been solved, I'm still finding the front wheels to be relatively hot after 20 minutes on the highway. Not too hot to touch, but noticeably hot nonetheless. Much more so than the rear wheels.

I'm guessing this might but be normal heat transferring from brakes and other moving parts, but I never noticed how it was before my brake troubles began.

Yes they will get a little warm since dick brake pads ride pretty close to the rotor when they are released. A little warp in the rotor will aggravate that. If you can put your hand n the wheels after driving and not burn your hand you should be fine. If they are really hot the calipers are dragging but they will get pretty hot if that's the case.
