WATER / METHANOL INJECTION

I have a buddy who just bought a new jetta tdi and has already had computer reprogrammed and now is in the process of installing water meth injection. If this is an old topic, then i appologize, but i'm new to this part of forum as i just aquired my tdi. Has anyone tried this with any degree of luck? I'm looking strictly for ways to further enhance it's already great economy.Thanks
