muffler hanger bracket

Any body have a good solution to the rubber muffler hanger bracket? The one that attaches the muffler to the oil pan? Mine keeps breaking or tearing from the engine vibration. Seems like it should be some kind of spring setup instead of these rubber bushings.
1983 1.6 diesel vanagon.

ok so I figured out the problem. For those of you that don't know, there is 3 rubber mounts on the vanagon muffler setup. Someone before me removed one of them and another one was broken. That is what kept my third one from working properly. Hope this information helps somone else!
