put vnt 15 in 1.9 d 1y engine

hi there

i like to turboed my 1y engine .
in my block as staped 1.9td

i already know people that ive done this in block that as d/td stamped on
becouse they ive oil sprayers for cooling pistons and rods .

did ani one know if my block 1.9 td stamped on it , as oil jets?
i bet yes becouse if not , why as cast 1.9 td on it ?

another doubt is main diferences between 1y engine and aaz

i know almost is identical , people here says its the same block , internals , head as aaz but without the turbo and lda in pump ... but im not shure .

im trying to put a vnt 15 on it , with a gtd pump or with aaz pump , gttdi ic , and may be 1.9tdi colectors . for cooling help il ad a oil radieteur too.
exaust ive to change too ?
need to confirm that is almost identical .

the problems that may find , doing that

the best way , and the simple way
need assistance from experience people out there

AZZ is indirect injection,
and 1Y has a TDI, direct injection head on it right?
'91 Golf gasser converted to a 12mm pump, M-TDI.
'84 1.6TD Rabbit with a VNT-15 turbo, still setup to run on vegetable oil.
'84 GTI with 1.7TD pistons and intercooled.

No, 1Y is an AAZ without the turbo

thats what people tells me , but i think ive read some here that aaz as
biger valves and coated with some stuff
and pistons and rods diferents too ...

thats my main doubt ..

I tried to get onto Vag-cat, but there is a log in problem. As far as i can see though, they do show different pistons. But a call to my local supplier for all things VW & Audi doesn't list different pistons or heads.Unless you are going for big horsepower, i wouldn't worry about it.

i already see that same engine with big turbo , big ic , worked pump and injectors give 170 bhp in dyno test

i that are a portuguese forum that work in a sdi (same engine , but with direct injection) with big turbo , repro , big ic , big noozles , worked pump
give out 270 bhp in dyno test . manny people says its impossible ..
but when he finish and make a dyno , every one stays :shock:

im not looking for that king of bhp

i want to duplicate the origin hp of this engine , from 68 hp
to at least 120

i already buy a vnt 15 , ic from gttdi 110hp
what you think of this turbo ?

ive to change exaust too ?
for a larger one ?
il aply oil cooler too , to help it cooling

Not sure where the code is located, but some specs below:

It talking to my pump re-builder, he said the 1Y engines in Canada were set up in an eco-diesel setup with a turbo but no LDA on the pump.

as for exasut line

should i use a large one ?

to trow away hot gases fast ?

as for pump , gtd 1.6 can deliver diesel to 130 , 140 hp ?

2.5 inch exhaust if you can do it, 2.25 if you can't. The bigger, the better.

some people says that if its too big , that it il loose point velocity

for low rpm e torque is good

i il enjoy more torque then velocity , but i dont wont loose too manny velocity too
