There was a yellow one advertised in the Denver area which looked as though it mght not have rust problems. It may have been advertised in the Rapid City, SD Craigslist just yesterday. Or the Denver Craigslist.

When you make a request to buy something like this....why in the world can't you have the initiative to list your location?????????

Rust free pickups are out there occasionally. I sold mine several years ago for $5K and it had no rust.

Sometimes, people forget to post the important details in their quest for answers or data. We've all been there before. Ever watch Jay Leno's Headlines segment? People post adds in the paper all the time and forget address, phone or any contact information. Maybe KCCats is willing to travel the country for the right one?

KCCats, please put your location in your profile.

Don't forget about ebay motors. There's typically a couple on there at any given time. The rust free one's from California command some decent coinage for them, and I've seen some very, very nice ones go for over $12k.

Notice the big shadow on the driver side photo. That's the side that get's all the slushy salt thrown at it if he parked on the street. Maybe I'm just cynical maybe not. I would ask for more pictures before you drive all the way out there. I drove 300km's to see a TDI for cheap that turned out to be a 97 MkIII 1.9TD and he still believed it was a TDI after I showed him the throttle cable and other stuff that's just not on a TDI.
