Holy cow.......you guys are still here!

Post by Bobt250 »

I haven't visited here in the better part of 10 years and I see a couple of people I remember. Fatmobile and Coke right off the bat. Good to see you guys are still alive and smokin'. I was cleaning out my basement and wanted to know if there was still anyone into the old IDI engines as I have a ton of stuff to get rid of. I'm into TDI's now and need to pass my stuff along to people still interested in my old stuff. I'll post up in the for sale thread but thought I'd say HI!

Yeah, we're still here.
We lose alot of people to those TDIs, ha.
But there are still alot of people that need to get an old 1.5 or 6 running.

well I have one of each and plan to never give up the old 1.6 n/a. Too simple and easy to keep going. Doubtful my TDI will be like that in another 25 years. But then I probably won't be here to know that answer!

Hey I remember you too!

I have a bunch of engines and engine parts if you're interested. I didn't get around to posting in the for sale section yet. I have a couple of 1.6 turbo engines I was thinking someone might want. They are kind of rare, or so I think.

Hmmm. Pittsburgh isn't too far to drive for a turbo motor. At some point I will either have to rebuild my na (low compression in one cylinder makes winter starts pretty ugly, noisy, and smoky) or drop in a replacement. Any of those is decent shape?

I posted a bunch of stuff in the for sale section. PM sent to Niko

I live 25 miles south of Pittsburgh. I'm not looking for much here, just want the stuff gone. Was going to scrap most of it but thought someone might get some use out of this stuff.
